Rotary polishing

Rotary polishing is a technology applied to surface treatment before plating small details. The details to be sharpened will be put into a dedicated rotating barrel with abrasive particles, water and chemicals. The friction between the abrasive and the parts together during ball rotation helps to reduce surface roughness. The effectiveness of the ball spin method depends on many different factors such as the size, shape, rotation speed of the barrel, abrasive particles, fluid properties, raw materials and product shape. As a result, it is possible to reduce surface roughness, replacing polishing.

Vibration polishing is a method developed based on rotary polishing. The parts that need to be polished and the material needed are put into a spring or bowl-shaped barrel. The vibrations move left, right, up, down and create friction between the abrasive and the part. Vibration polishing is suitable for large and small details. The effectiveness of this method is mainly determined by the frequency and amplitude of the drum's vibration.

Chemical polishing is the use of suitable chemical solutions to soak the product to be polished. Chemical exchange between the product and the solution results in a shiny surface. Despite the ability to process products with complex details and bring high efficiency, the time to maintain the gloss for the product is not long and it is difficult to control the quality in the process.

Electropolishing

Electropolishing is a detailed polishing process at the anode in a specialized solution, which helps to treat the surface before plating. When an electric current is passed, a film is formed on the metal surface and has a high resistance. On a convex surface, the metal defect will dissolve faster than the concave surface because of the greater current density, which helps to remove minor scratches and smooth the surface. Electropolishing is widely used for polishing stainless steel products, removing burn marks after welding, abrasive polishing on edge edges after turning, laser cutting, milling, plasma and reducing sharpness on cutting edges.

Rough polishing

It is the process of removing product defects such as bavia, excess edges, and roughness of metal. For bavia, it is necessary to use a polishing machine such as a vibrating shocker, a rotating cage machine in combination with abrasive materials such as stone, stainless steel balls and specialized polishing solutions.

Middle polish

The step is applied to treat scratches that appear in the rough polishing step. This step helps the product to achieve a uniform smoothness before moving to a fine polishing step with specialized fabrics. Middle polishing mainly uses felt or coir materials installed with a 2-head machine to seal directly. This step is often combined right after the bavia step, rarely separated into 2 separate stages.

Fine polishing

This is the final step to achieve the perfect shine for the metal product. At this step, soft cloth cakes are combined with cauliflower, wax or specialized chemicals to make the metal surface bright as required.
